Created in collaboration between Porsche Middle East, AL Nabooda, and Ali&Sons (official Porsche dealers in the UAE), this project breathes new life into the first-generation Cayenne, which has now officially received "classic" status from Porsche.
Launched in 2002, the first-generation Cayenne was a milestone for Porsche, as it introduced a luxury off-road sports SUV to the region, perfectly suited for the vast desert landscapes of the Middle East. Over the years, the Cayenne has become synonymous with adventure, luxury, and off-roading excellence in the region.
The Restomod project focuses on enhancing the vehicle's off-road capabilities, particularly underbody protection and ground clearance, while keeping the mechanicals largely untouched. This ensures that the original drivetrain remains intact, maintaining the Cayenne’s remarkable performance and durability. The restoration process involved sourcing well-preserved first-generation models that met the strict GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) specifications.
One of the standout vehicles in this Restomod series is a 2009 Cayenne S with a Martini-inspired livery. This vehicle is one of only eight modified by Al Nabooda in Dubai. The cars have undergone meticulous inspections, ensuring they meet Porsche's high standards for pre-owned vehicles.
